i came across you blog through pinterest. i am just getting into freezer dinner meals, but love you idea for the breakfast bowls. anyways, quick question about the freezer meals....can they go in the slow cooker straight from the freezer or does it need to thaw overnight? thanks!

I usually take them out and thaw them overnight in the refrigerator! I haven't tried putting them straight from the freezer into the crockpot without thawing them, but I have cooked chicken and other frozen meat on low in the crockpot and had success! I have found that the ones with rice need to be cooked on the high settings in order to boil the rice. If you try cooking one straight from freezer, let me know how it works! I'm curious now! Thanks! :)

What kind of seasoning packet do you use with the wild rice in the beef and mushroom?

I use Rice a Roni brand. The seasoning packet comes in the box with the wild rice mix.
